Our journey with the dogs started over 20 years ago when I was in college and fell in love with the cutest wrinkly dogs. They were so unique, I just had to have one. As I come from a background in competitive sports it was only natural to think about combining my love of sports with the love of dogs. Bill & I purchased our first Shar-Pei, Meisha, in 1988. She was the beginning to an incredibly rewarding and yet challenging journey through a life of dedication to the purebred dog.

Even though Meisha never set foot in the show or obedience ring, we learned so much from owning and loving her. We got our first show dog Kaiser. Bill went on to show and champion him in Canada & Germany. The rest, as they say, is history...

Over the years we found that the Horse Coat was truly where our passion lives and vowed to dedicate our breeding program to not only improving the Shar-Pei as a whole, but also to improving the Horse Coat variety to be as competitive as the Brush Coat.

Through 20 years of breeding, showing and training the Chinese Shar-Pei we have faced many challenges. It has not always been an easy journey. Recently we decided to branch our path and added a new breed to our home. In 2006, Avery really wanted to have a dog of his own. Even though he loved the Shar-Pei, he wanted a dog that was a bit smaller. We soon agreed and shortly thereafter entered into the world of the Chinese Pugs. We purchased Tilly and it did not take long for this extremely fun loving and affectionate breed to take a hold on all of our hearts.

Whether it is the regal and loyal Shar-Pei or the clownish and affectionate Pugs, we are dedicated to show that we are "More Than Just Wrinkles." We have vowed to be educated breeders who will excel in producing great loving companions first and foremost and provide our puppy buyers.... We have strived to keep up to date on health concerns for both breeds and through education and dedication, responsible breeding can produce great loving pets that can live long healthy lives and be competitive in conformation, obedience and agility.
